Monday

Hebrews 10:24

I think of ways to encourage others to outbursts of love and good deeds.

Tuesday

Hebrews 10:25

And let me not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of Your coming back again is drawing near.

Wednesday

Hebrews 10:26

Dear friends, if I deliberately continue sinning after I have received a full knowledge of the truth, there is no other sacrifice that will cover these sins.

Thursday

Hebrews 10:27

There will be nothing to look forward to but the terrible expectation of Your judgment, God, and the raging fire that will consume Your enemies.

Friday

Hebrews 10:28, 29

Anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Think how much more terrible the punishment will be for those who have trampled on You, the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant as if it were common and unholy. Such people have insulted and enraged the Holy Spirit who brings Your mercy, God, to Your people.

Zingers from Croft M. Pentz, Tyndale House Publishers

4151. Long prayers in public could indicate short prayers in private.

4152. Prayer and praise are like the wings of a bird–both must work together.

4153. Too many want God to change things and people when they pray, but they are not willing to let God change them.

4154. Powerful praying is not a pretty phrase, but persistent prevailing.

4155. True prayer does not begin when we kneel, nor does it cease when we rise.

In 1978, Zig Ziglar christened his new office building (at the corners of Alpha and Omega) by establishing the Monday Morning Devotional. He invited his staff, his family, his friends and associates to attend as often as they wished. Many non-staff quickly became “regulars,” and all made contributions to the success of the event.
