You need no longer be sorry that You sent that letter to me, though You were sorry for a time, for You know that it was painful to me for a little while.

Now You can be glad You sent it, not because it hurt me but because the pain caused me to have remorse and change my ways. It is the kind of sorrow You, God, want Your people to have so I am not harmed in any way.

2 Corinthians 7:10
For You, God, can use sorrow in my life to help me turn away from sin and seek salvation. I will never regret that kind of sorrow. But sorrow without repentance is the kind that results in death.
