Monday

Hebrews 9:11

So You, Christ, have now become the High Priest over all the good things that have come. You have entered that great, perfect sanctuary in heaven, not made by human hands and not part of this created world.

Tuesday

Hebrews 9:12

Once for all time You took blood into that Most Holy Place, but not the blood of goats and calves. You took Your own blood, and with it You secured my salvation forever.

Wednesday

Hebrews 9:13

Under the old system, the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a young cow could cleanse my body from ritual defilement.

Thursday

Hebrews 9:14

Just think how much more Your blood, Jesus, will purify my heart from deeds that lead to death so that I can worship You, the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, You, Christ, offered Yourself to God as a perfect sacrifice for my sins.

Friday

Hebrews 9:15

That is why You are the One Who mediates the new covenant between God and me, so that all who are invited can receive the eternal inheritance You, God, have promised me. For You, Christ, died to set me free from the penalty of the sins that I have committed under that first covenant.

Zingers from Croft M. Pentz, Tyndale House Publishers

4111. We do our best praying when the I, me, and mine have worked their way out of our way.

4112. Things begun in prayer usually end in power.

4113. If you work for God, form a committee; if you work with God, form a prayer group.

4114. The Christian can see more on his knees than the educated can see on his tiptoes.

4115. Let prayer be our portion. Let prayer be our pastime, our passion. Let prayer be our practice.

In 1978, Zig Ziglar christened his new office building (at the corners of Alpha and Omega) by establishing the Monday Morning Devotional. He invited his staff, his family, his friends and associates to attend as often as they wished. Many non-staff quickly became “regulars,” and all made contributions to the success of the event.
