Monday
Philippians 4:1
I love my dear brothers and sisters, and long to see them, for they are my joy and the reward for my work. I pray they stay true to You, Lord, as they are my dear friends.
Tuesday
Philippians 4:2
Just as Paul pleaded with the two women, Euodia and Syntyche, because I belong to You, Lord, I settle my disagreements.
Wednesday
Philippians 4:3
And I ask my true teammates to help others, those who worked hard in telling others the Good News.
Thursday
Philippians 4:4
I am always full of joy in You, Lord. I say it again – rejoice!
Friday
Philippians 4:5
I let everyone see that I am considerate in all I do. I remember that You, Lord, are coming soon.
Zingers from Croft M. Pentz, Tyndale House Publishers
4471. The sinner has only two options–be pardoned or be punished.
4472. When God pardons sin, He purges the record, erases the remembrance, and empowers the recipient.
4473. When God saves us, our sins are forgiven and forgotten forever.
4474. Salvation causes us to step out of sin’s slavery into security with Christ.
4475. Justification means man’s guilt gone and Christ’s goodness given.
