Hebrews 10:8
You, Father, said you did not want animal sacrifices or grain offerings or animals burned on the altar or other offerings for sin, nor were You pleased with them (though they are required by the law of Moses).
Tuesday
Hebrews 10:9
Then You added, “Look. I have come to do Your will.” You cancel the first covenant in order to establish the second.

And what You want is for me to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of You, Jesus Christ, once for all time.

Under the old covenant, the priest stands before the altar day after day, offering sacrifices that can never take away sins.

Hebrews 10:12
But You, my High Priest, offered Yourself to Father God, as one sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then You sat down at the place of the highest honor at the Father’s right hand.
