Monday

Hebrews 9:26

If that had been necessary, You would have had to die again and again, ever since the world began. But no! You came once for all time, at the end of the age, to remove the power of sin forever by Your sacrificial death for me.

Tuesday

Hebrews 9:27

And just as it is destined that each person dies only once and after that comes judgement...

Wednesday

Hebrews 9:28

...so also You, Christ, died only once as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. You will come again, but not to deal with my sin again. This time You will bring salvation to all of us who are eagerly waiting for You.

Thursday

Hebrews 10:1

The old system in the law of Moses was only a shadow of the things to come, not the reality of the good things You, Christ Jesus, have done for me. The sacrifices under the old system were repeated again and again, year after year, but they were never able to provide perfect cleansing for those who came to worship.

Friday

Hebrews 10:2

If they could have provided perfect cleansing, the sacrifices would have stopped, for the worshipers would have been purified once for all time, and their feelings of guilt would have disappeared.

Zingers from Croft M. Pentz, Tyndale House Publishers

4126. He who cannot pray when the sun shines will not know how to pray when the clouds come.

4127. The angel brought Peter out of prison, but it was prayer that brought the angel.

4128. Short prayers have the largest range and the surest arms.

4129. Some tears are liquid prayers.

4130. Living a life of prayer is worth more than writing a book on it.

In 1978, Zig Ziglar christened his new office building (at the corners of Alpha and Omega) by establishing the Monday Morning Devotional. He invited his staff, his family, his friends and associates to attend as often as they wished. Many non-staff quickly became “regulars,” and all made contributions to the success of the event.
