Let me ask this one question: Did I receive the Holy Spirit by keeping the law? Of course not, for the Holy Spirit came upon me only after I believed the message I heard about You, Christ.

Have I lost my senses? After starting my Christian life in the Spirit, why am I now trying to become perfect by my own human effort?

I have suffered so much for the Good News. Surely it was not in vain, was it? Am I now going to just throw it all away?

I ask again, do You, God, give me the Holy Spirit and work miracles within me because I obey the law of Moses? Of course not! It is because I believe the message I heard about You, Christ.
