Monday

1 Peter 4:3

I have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy–their immorality and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties, and their terrible worship of idols.

Tuesday

1 Peter 4:4

Of course, my former friends are very surprised when I no longer join them in the wicked things they do, and they say evil things about me.

Wednesday

1 Peter 4:5

But I remember that they will have to face You, God, Who will judge everyone, both the living and the dead.

Thursday

1 Peter 4:6

That is why the Good News was preached even to those who have died–so that although their bodies were punished with death, they could still live in the spirit as God does.

Friday

1 Peter 4:7

The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, I am earnest and disciplined in my prayers.

Zingers from Croft M. Pentz, Tyndale House Publishers

4561. The devil will extend plenty of credit, but think of the payment.

4562. Christians fight evil on two fronts; sin from within and Satan from without.

4563. You can’t run with the devil and expect to reign with the Lord later.

4564. One of the devil’s temptations is to occupy our minds with the past and future so as to neglect the present.

4565. The devil is an equal opportunity employer—all who work for him will go to hell.

In 1978, Zig Ziglar christened his new office building (at the corners of Alpha and Omega) by establishing the Monday Morning Devotional. He invited his staff, his family, his friends and associates to attend as often as they wished. Many non-staff quickly became “regulars,” and all made contributions to the success of the event.
