Lekker kort door de bocht, maar nét praktisch genoeg om eens uit te proberen. 💡 1: Stop searching for feedback, start looking for advice 💡 Kern van de tip: Als je vraagt om feedback krijg je inzichten die gericht zijn op hoe je in het verleden presteerde. Vraag liever om advies. Dat is gericht op hoe je in de toekomst beter kan worden. Zo werkt het: Adam past dit ook toe bij zijn collegestudenten: hij vraagt geen feedback over zijn lessen, maar vraagt één concreet idee over wat de volgende keer beter kan. 💡 2: Stop brainstorming, more brainwriting 💡 Kern van de tip: In een brainstorm komen automatisch de ideeën van de meest luide en extraverte teamleden centraal te staan. Zonde! Want introverte mensen hebben vaak geweldige ideeën en die haal je naar boven met... brainwriting! Zo werk het: iedereen schrijft individueel en onafhankelijk zoveel mogelijk ideeën op. Al die ideeën komen daarna anoniem terug in de groep waarna elk teamlid ze weegt en beoordeelt. 💡 3: Create a minimum mistake target 💡 Kern van de tip: Je groeit alleen van dingen die je echt uitdagen en moeilijk zijn. Het punt is: die dingen kunnen ook mislukken. Daar moet je gewoon een 'potje' voor maken, op welke manier dan ook. Zo werkt het: Adam Grant maakt in zijn eigen jaarplan ruimte voor 3 projecten die mogen mislukken. Dat geeft lucht. Er is op 'gebudgetteerd' qua tijd en geld. En een onverwacht bij-effect: als er na een jaar NIETS mislukt is, dan is dat een teken dat je jezelf niet genoeg uitgedaagd hebt.
