Good morning! Here’s your forecast for today: ☀️ 57°–96° in Logan ☀️74°–101° in Salt Lake City ☀️ 74°–104° in St. George I’m Kathleen, and I’m your new Utah Today newsletter writer! Every weekday morning, I’ll send you an email with stories about Utah, faith, the west, politics and more. Do you have any comments, questions or feedback? Hit the reply button and let me know what you think. I’d love to hear from you! I’ve been thinking of all the great festivals, concerts and events around Utah. Last year, the best event I attended was the Helper Arts Festival in Carbon County. If there’s a cuter small town in Utah, you’ll have to tell me where it is, so I can plan a road trip this summer. Tell me: Speaking of which, what are some of your favorite small towns in Utah? Also on our mind today: How a Ukrainian stake president with Utah ties helped mobilize people across Europe to deliver aid to his city, how the Utah housing market is changing and some very important cookie-related news. 🍪

Why it matters: According to Utah Education Association President Heidi Matthews, these survey results underscore the urgency to come up with a solution, but that it’s not a problem that can be solved with one single approach. |
