The Federal Government has allocated an unspecified amount in Tuesday's Federal Budget to improve cyber security arrangements for the forthcoming election. The Australian Bureau of Statistics has been allocated another $38.3 million over three years from 2019-20 to ensure that there are no stuff-ups with the 2021 Census, according to Tuesday's Federal Budget papers. Cyber attacks are increasing in volume and sophistication, causing regular security breaches affecting 89% of organisations, according to a newly released survey of Australian organisations.
