The Forward celebrates 123 years of activism Now through October 28 “Activism in the Five Boroughs,” the Forward’s newest collaboration with Urban Archive, the city’s award winning digital mapping platform for storytelling, hits its activist stride with a new series focused on social justice. We were thrilled to be invited to participate alongside some of the city’s top historical organizations like the New York Historical Society, the Center for Brooklyn History and community archiving project, Queen’s Memory. 25 years after Rabin — can Israel be both democratic and Jewish? Tuesday, October 27 @ 2 p.m. ET/ 11 a.m. PT November 4th marks the 25th anniversary of the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yizhak Rabin, an event that crystalized the tension between Judaism and democracy that is imprinted in Israel’s DNA.
