Beehive Meals feted for solving ‘What’s for dinner?’ |
|
| | Do you enjoy cooking dinner, or does the idea of coming up with a meal, shopping for it, cooking it and cleaning up afterwards fill you with dread? Utah business owner Allyse Jackson offers an alternative: nutritious, tasty freezer meals from her company, Beehive Meals, which the U.S. Chamber of Commerce just named one of America’s top small businesses. Jackson founded Beehive Meals five years ago as a temporary way to help her family pay the bills. Now, the company counts over 100 employees and thousands of customers in a dozen states, and they plan to expand to more parts of the country. This year, Utah Business ranked Beehive Meals as the third-fastest-growing business in the state and named Jackson CEO of the Year. Inc., the national business magazine, ranked Beehive Meals No. 399 on its list of America’s 5,000 fastest-growing private companies. As was detailed by the Deseret News on Saturday night, the Cougars must beat Houston (4-7, 3-5) at 8:15 p.m. this coming Saturday night and have either Kansas State win at Iowa State or Arizona win at home against ASU to make it to AT&T Stadium and play for a spot in the College Football Playoff. BYU (9-2, 6-2) lost control of its own destiny with back-to-back losses to Kansas and ASU after its magical 9-0 start. The Cougars can only blame themselves for failing to finish on both occasions.
