How You Can Get Involved

Each year, Bowel Cancer Australia dedicates the month of June to raising much needed awareness about Australia's second deadliest cancer, and much needed funds to support the charity's work in the prevention, early diagnosis, research, quality treatment and the best care for everyone affected by bowel cancer.
Although Bowel Cancer Awareness Month will look a little different this year - as we practice social distancing or work from home – it’s important to remember whilst we may be isolated, we’re not alone.
Stay connected and join us this June. There are lots of ways you can get involved:

1. Download our free awareness posters and flyers and pop one up on your front door or fence, or on a window inside your home or car.
2. Add a virtual Bowel Cancer Awareness Ribbon to your Facebook profile picture and encourage your family and friends to do the same.
3. Host a Bowel Cancer Awareness Month virtual fundraiser or awareness activity through Everyday Hero or Go Fundraise.
4. Hold a virtual Brunch for Bowel Cancer on Red Apple Day or another apple-themed online fundraiser through Everyday Hero or Go Fundraise.
5. Connect with Bowel Cancer Australia on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and spread the word by sharing, re-posting and tweeting Bowel Cancer Awareness Month messages.
6. Find out about bowel cancer prevention, risks and symptoms and share what you learn with others via Social Media, email or direct message.
7. Donate today to help save lives and to improve the health and wellbeing of people living with bowel cancer. Every donation over $2 is fully tax-deductible.
