Part of the US Department of Homeland Security, the Secret Service is assigned with the task of investigating financial crime, as well as protecting the country's leaders. Coinbase previously wanted to sell the software to both the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), but have not yet received contracts from the agencies. Chainlink (LINK) has surged almost 40% today, hitting a new all-time high of $8.48 and market cap of $2.5 billion, as well as its greatest trading volume since April. The price rise has been described as a "fear of missing out" rally, triggered by a price discovery phase as LINK broke into uncharted territory both in its dollar value and value as measured in Bitcoin.
