MEDIA LOSER: Dana Loesch Ignoring hypocrisy from political candidates is a time-honored tradition. Plenty of family-values conservatives made the judgment, when they elected thrice-married Playboy cover star Donald Trump, that they care more about the conservative judges he appointed while in office than the body parts he groped behind closed doors. Conservative pundit Dana Loesch wholeheartedly embraced that cold political calculation this week when she proudly declared she did not care one bit about the scandal plaguing Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker. The Daily Beast reported Tuesday that Herschel, a staunch anti-abortion candidate in Georgia, encouraged a former girlfriend to get an abortion and eventually paid for the procedure. Herschel has denied the report. But the Beast has evidence, and Herschel has dubious explanations. There is other evidence Walker is not a great guy. He has a staggering quantity of secret children. One has accused him of violence. His ex-wife says he put a gun to her head and almost killed her. Loesch doesn't care about that. "Does this change anything?" she asked on her radio show. "Not a damn thing. How many times have I said four very important words. These four words: winning is a virtue." "Keep in mind that I am concerned about one thing," she continued. "I don’t care if Herschel Walker paid to abort endangered baby eagles. I want control of the Senate." “I don’t know if he did it or not,” Loesch added. “I don’t even care.” Her argument makes one wonder, and then shudder, about just what kind of bad behavior Dana Loesch would accept from a Republican senate candidate. She concluded by calling the anonymous woman who accused Walker of impregnating her a "skank", and other women who seek abortions "skanks" — the cherry on top of a truly bad take. |
