Tomorrow (Tuesday): The day begins on the cold side, with patchy frost in our colder areas. But, with sunshine in earnest, the afternoon should be delightful — as highs climb into the mid-60s. Confidence: Medium-High Tomorrow night: Because the prevailing wind direction starts to come in from the south, it is not as cold as the previous night. Lows range from the mid-40s in our cooler spots to the low 50s downtown. Confidence: Medium-High A LOOK AHEAD Wednesday is my pick of the week for the best weather. We’ll have a good deal of sunshine, a gentle breeze from the south and unbeatable high temperatures ranging from 70 to 75. A great evening follows as temperatures fall back into the 60s and ultimately bottom out in the mild 50s early Thursday morning. Confidence: ?????? Thursday is likely the warmest day of the week, as southerly breezes really pump in the summerlike air. If we see a good deal of sunshine, we could hit 80 — which is the record for the date. But a cold front will be approaching the region with clouds and showers and will probably arrive late in the day or in the evening. If it comes in a bit sooner, highs would hold in the 70s. After some evening showers, it turns cooler overnight with lows 45-50. Confidence: Medium The period Friday through Sunday, right now, looks fantastic. We should have mostly sunny, mild days and cool, clear nights. Highs should generally range from 60 to 65, with lows mostly in the 40s except 35-40 in our colder locations. Confidence: Medium SNOW POTENTIAL INDEX A daily assessment of the potential for at least 1 inch of snow in the next week, on a 0-10 scale. 0/10 (→): Moohaha! I’ll be here soon.
