| Carmignac Photojournalism Award | | 11th Edition: Call for Applications open until 16th October 2019 | | Theme: The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)
The 11th edition of the Carmignac Photojournalism Award is dedicated to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and to the human, health, social and ecological challenges it is facing today. The call for applications will be open until 16th October 2019. A pre-jury, made up of experts in photography, media and from the art world, will select between 12 and 15 proposals from those received. The jury, consisting of specialists in photography and in the given theme, will then convene to select a single laureate. At the end of the selection process, the jury meets the nominated photographer, in order to talk to him or her and provide, if necessary, the support he or she will need throughout the carrying out of their project – from the preparation of the reportage to its final exhibition. Photographers can submit their applications until 16th October. Charles Carmignac, Director of the fondation Carmignac, will take part in a conference on Plastic Pollution, its challenges and its solutions’.
