Building sale: Plans to convert the former Catholic Bookstore building on South Carrollton Avenue into a dental office could be moving forward soon. Stephanie Riegel has the details on the Archdiocese of New Orleans' request of a U.S. bankruptcy court judge. The right call? A New Orleans police officer's decision not to give a field sobriety test to former U.S. Rep. Cedric Richmond after Richmond crashed his Mercedes into a tree raised eyebrows when the incident came to light in 2023.
