NATIONAL: Music industry charity and Recording Academy partner MusiCares has launched Music on a Mission, a virtual fundraising event taking place March 12. Intended to honor the resilience of the music industry during COVID-19, the event will include a set from DJ D-Nice, performances from the likes of HAIM and John Legend, and special appearances by Carole King, Jonas Brothers, Paul McCartney and more. The virtual event replaces the 2021 MusiCares Person of the Year tribute ceremony, and 100% of ticket proceeds will help musicians in need. On March 2, BareMinerals and Hailey Bieber are inviting consumers to a shoppable "Virtual Villa" getaway. The hosts will tout the latest news from the brand, including updates to the Power Of Good Fund and the company's commitment to sustainability. There will also be a variety of interactive moments, photo ops and new product demos. LAS VEGAS: After a series of delays, the highly anticipated Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will open March 25. The three-tower property will have over 1,500 suites, plus a 60,000-square-foot casino, a five-acre pool and event lawn area, a 4,500-seat theater, 12 eateries and more. LOS ANGELES: This month, Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills and its in-house modern art gallery, #thecoolheART, are amplifying the voices of Black artists Taj and Tiffanie Anderson with a special Art From the Heart event, taking place on Zoom Feb. 25.
