And one of the reasons I need media detox more often than I'd like. And yet I feel like that's hiding and not fighting. I have a lot to say about what's gone on lately. It's painful. And I want it to sink in some more before I go there. I don't need to full-up airtime and can benefit from reflection first. The media and politicians can be more helpful to us through reflection. Realizing what repetition and rhetoric can do. From PUERTO RICO to VEGAS to SPAIN to losing our heroes to the inevitable change and loss in things we hold dear and tie to happier moments. It's all like a DALI painting on acid in my head. Bear with me. Currently the results of our leaders kicking the morality can down the road. And I'm not just talking about politicians. Platforms too. I get angrier at the platforms I love. Some days I wish my dreams can access the news and if it's as bad as it's been, keep me asleep. Or let me un-watch THE MICK on FOX so I can rewatch it and laugh for the first time again. We all need smiles. This delivers smiles... In work and in life we all fall into the trap of "it's not the right time." It rarely is. But procrastinating on a hire, fire, change or a vote helps no one. It hurts. There has never been a time in my life where waiting helped when I knew what needed to be done. Never... New waver, HEARTBREAKER, WILBURY, free fallin' solo star, classic-rock elder statesman. TOM PETTY transcended genre and generation to become one of the great American rock and rollers. I don't remember any moment in my life that didn't have music associated with it.
