| die Cloud war bis dato in der Produktentwicklung kein großes Thema. Das könnte sich nun mit der Notwendigkeit zum Social Distancing und New Work ändern. Denn Cloud-Systeme sind deutlich besser für die verteilte Arbeit geeignet als fest installierte und an dezidierte Hardware gebundene Software. Zumindest muss hier keine Workstation von A nach B transportiert werden, da fast jedes Endgerät ausreicht, um auf das System zuzugreifen. Auch Datenhaltung und Systemwartung sind durch konsequente Zentralisierung vereinfacht. Wir sind jedoch trotz aller Vorteile gespannt, ob dieses Modell künftig mehr Akzeptanz im Engineering findet, denn die Bedenken in Sachen Datenschutz gegenüber der Cloud waren in der Vergangenheit groß.
