NSI Features First-developed The Retreat makes Slamdance screenplay semi-finals Posted: 25 Sep 2018 01:14 PM PDT The Retreat, a 2008-09 NSI Features First-developed project from writer/producer Alyson Richards and director Pat Mills, has made the Slamdance Screenplay Competition 2018 semi-finals. In The Retreat, a lesbian couple with a rocky relationship go to a friend’s pre-wedding retreat and end up fighting for their lives when a group of militant serial killers tries to murder them. Slamdance finalists will be announced on October 1 and competition winners will be announced on October 11. It was made as part of a non-profit, non-funded campaign hosted at notmyscoop.ca.
