BOOK: Brother Joseph 1: Chapter Fifteen: The Church Headquarters Are Moved to Ohio
On Sunday, January 2, 1831, the Church held its last conference in the state of New York at the Whitmer home in Fayette. This was the third conference of the Church. This was the beginning of a new era since the Lord had recently asked the Saints to sell or rent their farms and move to Ohio.
