BY DOUG GRAHAM | Staff writer Big changes coming: As the Trump administration is slashing federal spending in the name of removing bloat and waste, Louisiana's museums, libraries and cultural organizations are grappling with — or bracing for — dramatic cuts as well. In addition to the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, the institutions that have been notified of cuts include Tulane University, LSU, Southern University and the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. Jeff Landry’s spending plan for next fiscal year does not include the annual $2,000 stipends that teachers received for the past two years, or $1,000 stipends for school support staff.
