In today's newsletter, how Millennials stack up when it comes to buying homes, Republicans are silent on legislative action this fall and two towns in Michigan make the list of great Halloween destinations. |
I'm just over here thinking about apples. |
I'm not sure why doctors are so scared of apples. I love them! OK, bad joke. My apologies. But, really, this time of year is a treat for apple lovers. I have some strong opinions about apples, too. For instance, I like my apples raw. I refuse to bake them. I want them crunchy and juicy. I want to eat them straight off the tree (or out of the produce bin). But I don't want to take a bite of every apple. I have opinions about the varieties, as well. A few years ago I put together this ranking and it seemed like an appropriate time to share it with my Morning Briefing readers. It's all in good fun. I promise I don't take myself very seriously. And I could be completely wrong about these apple rankings. Well, except for Honeycrisp. I am totally right about those.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s updated fair market rents go into effect on Oct. 1. We have the details on the numbers in Michigan. Housing prices climb as gas prices drop: In our latest look at inflation, while gas prices are down, housing and food prices are on the rise. Core inflation, or the change in prices without food and energy, is still going up. |

Even after two dominant games, Michigan football has ideas for improvement. |
An inside view:To an outsider, Michigan has been near perfect. Inside the program, there’s room for improvement. Two things stood out to the Wolverines who met with the media on Monday afternoon: forcing turnovers and limiting pressure.
What's next for Cade McNamara: The spunky quarterback who had started 16 straight games for the Wolverines, helped usher in a new era of Michigan football and subsequent success, will be relegated to backup duties. But he has options. Chatting about the Lions: Kyle is back at it again, answering all your pressing Detroit Lions questions. The mailbag was overflowing this week, so there were plenty of things to discuss. |
