Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Schuette had lost just one major election before Gretchen Whitmer handed him a nine-point defeat on Nov. 6. We take a look at how Schuette, who's enjoyed a lengthy political career in Michigan going back decades, lost the race. One reason was that while a blue wave didn't materialize everywhere in the country, it certainly did here.
