Garlin Gilchrist explicitly backed the more aggressive standard at a press conference in Detroit. Clean up: Michigan state officials will take over control of 21 old oil wells in Ottawa and Ingham counties and receive $2.85 million in civil fines in a settlement with an oil and gas company. End of an era: The James De Young Power Plant in Holland crumbled to the ground on Thursday as thousands watched the demolition. The power plant supplied energy to Holland for 78 years before closing in 2017. |
