With these hot June temperatures we've seen, both yesterday and last week, you would think water temps would be up. While that might be the case for your little inland land, the Great Lakes are still chilly. According to MLive Chief Meteorologist Mark Torregrossa, the water surface temperatures for most of Lake Michigan and Lake Huron is still in the 50s. But if you take a look here, he will give you a some info on where to find warmer spots, if you are looking to take a Great Lakes plunge this week. Happy swimming, if you find a good place to jump in. Just remember to check if conditions are safe (especially on the big lake).
