N.J. high court: Divorce isn't grounds for termination The New Jersey Supreme Court has unanimously ruled that employers cannot legally fire an employee for divorcing. The ruling upholds a 2014 appeals court decision that states an EMT was wrongfully terminated because his employer worried a work-related affair would cause an "ugly divorce." Reuters (6/21)
