| | | | | | Dear readers, 9th November marks the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. With this, you will be able to visit the new special exhibition »The Last Year of the DDR – Journey into the Unknown« in the foyer of the museum from 28th November onwards. This exhibition addresses the radical changes that took place between the fall of the Berlin Wall on 9th November 1989 and German reunification on 3rd October 1990. We also commemorated the end of German division through a cooperation with the Berlin Wall Foundation by presenting a section of the Wall that is in danger of being forgotten. We wish you a good start to the last quarter of this year. The Team of the DDR Museum | | | | |

| | The DDR Museum Welcomes its Sixth Millionth Visitor | | | | |
| | | | | | Now in our 14th year of operation, we have reached a new milestone in our own history – our six millionth visitor. Paul O’Brien from Gloucester, England was visiting Berlin for the first time together with his wife and two sons, and wanted to learn more about life in the DDR and the division of Germany. Along with a certificate and a gift basket containing souvenirs of his visit to the museum and to Berlin, O’Brien, who is a teacher, received lifetime free admission to the DDR Museum. | |
