| WLAN: WPA3 becomes mandatory from July 1 onwards |
| | Wi-Fi Protected Access 3 (WPA3) is a WLAN encryption standard and a supplement to the previously valid WPA2 standard. WPA3 promises significant improvements in the authentication and encryption of WLAN devices and thus provides more security for the devices. The Wi-Fi Alliance has now announced that WPA3™ certification will be mandatory for all new Wi-Fi certifications from July 1, 2020. |
