AM Thema vom 08.05.2017 Liebe Leserinnen und Leser, Käufer eines Samsung Galaxy S8 (Plus) oder eines Huawei P10 (Plus) bekommen ihr neues Smartphone nicht unbedingt mit der vom Hersteller beworbenen Speicherart. Das haben Nutzer anhand von Benchmark-Tools und -Ergebnissen entdeckt und hat zumindest Huawei im Fall des P10 (Plus) bestätigt. Wegen Lieferengpässen bei den schnellen UFS-2.1-Speicherchips hat der chinesische Hersteller nach eigenen Angaben teilweise auf UFS-2.0- und auf wesentlich langsamere eMMC-5.1-Speicher zurückgegriffen. Womit einige der P10-Käufer aber nicht einverstanden sind: Bei Kauf oder Zustellung des Geräts gibt es keinen Hinweis auf den im Smartphone verbauten Speichertyp. Dass Hersteller für bestimmte Komponenten ihrer Smartphones auf verschiedene Quellen oder Fabrikate setzen, ist in der Branche nicht unüblich. TCL hat vor wenigen Tagen den Release des Geräts verkündet, doch anfangs ist das 599 Euro teure Tastatur-Smartphone mit Android-Betriebssystem, Snapdragon 625 und einem 3 GB großen Arbeitsspeicher, einem 4,5 Zoll großen IPS-Touchscreen im 3:2-Format mit 1.620 x 1.080 Pixel sowie einer 12-Megapixel-Hauptkamera in deutschen Shops kaum verfügbar.
