Dear Reader,
Every Passover, I spend a lot of time thinking about why we tell stories. As an archivist, no one is ever surprised when I tell them I find stories important — but this week, Jews around the world gather for the express purpose of telling one of the most essential stories to Jewish community identity.
When you give to the Forward, you’re powering a living library of community memory. Archival records connect yesterday’s stories to today’s, and today’s stories to tomorrow’s. Just as we gather each year to tell the Passover story, each retelling building on the year before, the archive’s continued growth helps us build on our history to inform our future.
Join me today in making a gift to keep the Forward’s archive free, accessible, and ever-expanding. Let’s keep powering the stories that matter, together.
Sincerely, Chana Pollack Archivist The Forward
