World, a company founded in 2019 by OpenAI chief Sam Altman, has announced its U.S. launch, with plans to deploy 7,500 iris-scanning “orbs” by year-end in six cities: Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, and San Francisco. Flappy Bird has flown back to Android devices. The 2014 viral game, in which you repeatedly tap the screen to guide the bird as far as you can by avoiding various obstacles, is now an Android-exclusive via the Epic Games Store. The game’s developer, Dong Nguyen, pulled it from Apple’s App Store and Google Play Store in 2014 over concerns that it had become too addictive.
