Guidance: Wellness programs help companies manage obesity A guidance statement from the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine said wellness programs and coverage for bariatric surgery can help manage employee obesity and reduce the economic impact obesity has on a company's bottom line. The recommendations published in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine were made by a multidisciplinary panel that analyzed 275 articles on ways to reduce obesity in the workplace.
