Focusing On Mental Health
|
|
In this pandemic era, faculty and staff members worldwide are struggling to support students who are experiencing mental-health crises. The U.S. Departments of Justice and Education have implored campus leaders to be especially attentive to students who are showing signs of self-harm or suicide, while pandemic- and social-justice-related volatility have introduced new challenges. Join us on Wednesday, January 12 at 2 p.m. ET for a roundtable discussion that will address campus-based responses to this crisis, emphasizing creative solutions that have proven to be effective. You will learn: The broader context pre-pandemic about student and faculty mental health. How to support faculty members as they work with students, especially the most vulnerable populations. Strategies for helping faculty members as they face potential burnout while juggling expanding work responsibilities and family. |
