When I tossed it in the cart my partner looked at me like I was crazy, and she questioned my decision. My answer was simple: we needed to take Vitamin D. Today we looked at her lab values for her endo appointment--she has type 1 diabetes--and unbelievably she had low Vitamin D levels. If that wasn’t uncanny enough, our intern, Brianna Belton, PharmD. Candidate, FAMU, College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science, has an article about how low Vitamin D levels are linked to painful neuropathy.
