You spoke loud and clear! And while I hope this isn't the last time I'll get feedback from the community, it seems pretty obvious that it's high time to make the "tips and tricks" section of this newsletter a bit longer. This week, I've included an extra link in that section. Next week, I might add even more. The possibilities are endless! Well, kind of. I don't want to innundate you with tips and tricks for the digital workplace, either. One last thing before you head out for the weekend: Thanks for the kind notes and comments you sent about The Daily Monitor. We work pretty hard to make it worth opening, and I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying it. But if that changes, feel free to let me know by replying directly to this email. |

| The Verge | Apple has not been spared the effects of the ongoing global component shortage, according to a new report in Nikkei. Some production of MacBooks and iPads has been delayed, with “a portion of component orders” pushed back to the second half of 2021. Nikkei didn’t state which MacBook or iPad models would be affected, nor whether the postponed production was for existing devices or yet-to-be-announced updates. | BetterCloud Monitor | In November of 2020, we launched our first BetterCloud Administrator Certification so our platform’s admins can show that they are experts in our product. In the less than three months it’s been live, 170 people have become Certified BetterCloud Administrators, passing our exam and proving their skills. Here are some common questions and their answers! | Engadget | Microsoft released the first 64-bit version of Windows back in the early aughts. In 2007, it came out with OneDrive. In an announcement spotted by Windows guru Paul Thurrott, the company says the new version of OneDrive will help those who need to transfer large files or many files at the same time since 64-bit systems can access more resources than their 32-bit counterparts. | TechCrunch | TechCrunch was alerted Wednesday to Facebook ads tied to several Facebook pages impersonating Clubhouse, the drop-in audio chat app only available on iPhones. Clicking on the ad would open a fake Clubhouse website, including a mocked-up screenshot of what the non-existent PC app looks like, with a download link to the malicious app. |

| How-To Geek | No one wants a tangle of cords inside their PC case. Proper cable management may seem superfluous, and after spending hours building a PC, it feels like the last thing you want to do. In the long run, however, proper cable management can go a long way to a better overall experience. | MakeUseOf | Tab Groups from Google Chrome are changing the way you organize and use the browser. The new feature can help you find your tabs easily and only takes seconds to set up. Here is how you can create and use tab groups for a more efficient browsing experience. | Lifehacker | One reader writes in and says that his Gmail labels went missing out of thin air. Lifehacker suspects that he accidentally closed the left-hand sidebar that contains all of these links—your typical email “folders” like inbox, sent, and drafts; your labels (if you use them); your trash, and so on. Check out the full post to see how to fix this issue. |

| SaaSOps Community | A question about how signature policies apply (or don't) to organizational units evolved into a larger conversation about how organizational units in Google Worksplace work altogether. It's quite a doozy. Check it out by clicking the link above. |

| Google Workspace Updates | You can now block all third-party API access to Google Workspace data with a new setting. This compliments other available OAuth settings which help you control which third-party & internal apps access Google Workspace data. When selected, all third-party apps are denied access to Workspace and end user data, blocking all OAuth 2.0 scopes. |
