EDITOR’S NOTE Happy Sunday. I’m more than ready for summer — but the countdown to my favorite season feels especially slow this year. Maybe that’s why I’m extra impatient with everything these days, from the (deeply unnecessary) return of “diaper shorts,” to the rise of “denim makeup” (yes, that means matching your eyeshadow to your jeans), to the inexplicable popularity of boat shoes — on people nowhere near water. (I’ll admit, a few pairs are almost cute.) The good news? In T-minus one week, I’ll get my personality back and my Vitamin D levels will return to normal. Plus, I’ll get to scroll through my favorite food influencer’s page for recipe inspo and plan a summer getaway. Will it be as extravagant as Lauren Sánchez’s Paris bachelorette (where one crop top alone cost $4,000)? Absolutely not. But I’ll do anything to get away from the diaper shorts. — Alex Carr / Editorial Director / Brooklyn, NY |
| Forget Buckingham Palace — the real crown jewel of family drama right now is coming from the House of Beckham. Rumors of a major Beckham Family Feud™ have been swirling for months, but tension officially boiled over after David Beckham’s 50th birthday bash, where everyone from Tom Cruise to Eva Longoria popped champagne in the soccer star’s honor. Everyone except Eldest Boy Brooklyn Peltz Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham, who were conspicuously MIA. The infamous couple (who could forget that wedding drama?) offered zero explanation and instead, left an even longer trail of suspiciously timed snubs. We enter into evidence: Their noticeable absences at Posh Spice’s 51st birthday (naturally, they were busy at Coachella), Victoria’s Fashion Week show, and the annual family trip to Canada. Then came a cryptic flower delivery that required an actual clarification, a flurry of eyebrow-raising Instagram comments, and Nicola’s Mother’s Day tribute — which left out Victoria entirely. Just when you thought things couldn’t get more awkward than Victoria claiming she grew up middle class, it turns out, the Beckham brothers are also feuding. The Hot Sauce Connoisseur himself, Brooklyn, is reportedly not on speaking terms with his younger brother Romeo — who’s now dating…Brooklyn’s ex. And while neither brother has spoken publicly, their baby bro Cruz seemed to throw shade at Brooklyn and Nicola, posting, of all things, a 2001 Victoria Beckham deep cut on his Stories. But instead of taking the drama offline and into the family group chat (where it belongs), it seems like Brooklyn and Nicola are seeking shelter in Montecito with the patron saints of Family Estrangement, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Can’t imagine what they discussed. |
| Good news, Bravoholics: The Real Housewives of New York City isn’t going anywhere. Sure, the 15th season was… a lot. But instead of pulling the plug, Bravo’s rebooting the reboot — and casting is “heavily underway.” Naturally, we couldn’t help but assemble our own dream lineup — and it’s so good, Andy Cohen should pay us a producing fee. 🍎 Paige DeSorbo. A natural Bravo crossover, she’s got the clothes, devastatingly sharp one-liners, and isn’t above eating McDonald’s in bed. The people’s princess. 🍎 Julia Fox. Look, we know she technically already passed on the show, but just imagine the DIY latex confessional outfits. 🍎 Lea Michele. She can sing, she can read, and she’s got the kind of Broadway intensity that turns brunch into a Tony-worthy showdown. 🍎 Ziwe. This fourth wall-breaking, ukulele-smashing queen would dominate a chardonnay-fueled girls’ dinner. |
