| | āFlorida is the Utah of the Southeast," Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis declared at the Utah Republican Party convention in Orem on Saturday. During his keynote address in front of 2,000 state GOP delegates gathered at Utah Valley University, Gov. DeSantis spoke on the GOP's chances in 2024, his governing style and the conservative values shared by Utah and Florida. āAs an objective observer, Utah is one of the best governed, best performing states in the United States," he said. "Underlying the success of Utah has been a commitment to freedom. Like Florida, Utah proves that freedom works." |

Yes, the unprecedented weather we've had this past winter season ā including those April snowstorms ā has paid off. After hitting a historic low point last year, the lake's water levels have risen 3.5 feet so far and will rise more given the runoff has not yet reached its peak.
