Good morning and thanks for joining us. Here are some of today's top headlines. Paying for tax cuts: Gov. Jeff Landry is working behind the scenes to get the Louisiana Senate to back his bid to raise sales taxes by a penny to help pay for income tax cuts, the largest share of which will benefit the wealthy and corporations. Higher sales taxes hit the poor the hardest; Landry says the cuts they'll pay for will spur investment. Tyler Bridges has the story. Misappropriation alleged: A former executive at a New Orleans nonprofit diverted hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay for family parties and other personal expenses, according to a recent audit. Joseph Cranney has the details. Database demands: Facebook's parent company, Meta, is looking at building a multi-billion-dollar data center in north Louisiana, which could create up to 500 new jobs.
