Survey: Nearly half of Black employees want to switch jobs Survey research conducted by Indeed found that about half of Black respondents were looking for a new position or thinking about doing so, and just 47% felt their current employers' diversity, equity and inclusion efforts were matching up with stated core values. Forty-three percent of the Black respondents who planned to quit reported that they had been the target of microaggressions from company leaders or coworkers, while 78% said pay transparency was their top consideration in a future employer, 63% prioritized personal and company value alignment, and 60% said a diverse leadership group was most important. Medicare Advantage enrollment up by 1.5M this year A Chartis Group report showed Medicare Advantage enrollment jumped by at least 1.5 million beneficiaries for the 2023 coverage year, marking slower growth compared with the last three years, and traditional Medicare enrollment continues to drop, losing 339,000 beneficiaries this year. MA now accounts for 46% of total Medicare enrollment, or 29.5 million members, and more than half of Medicare beneficiaries in 15 states are enrolled in MA plans, up from 11 states last year, according to the report. How do you jump start creativity and imagination? For me, it’s riding Old South Mountain Road -- a quiet, seven-mile stretch of back road that sits at the foot of the mountains of Santa Paula, Calif.. As I turn up 12th Street and head over the bridge, I can almost feel my creative engines revving up. They keep firing as I ride the curves and straightaways, past the ranches and fields of lemon and avocado trees. My mind relaxes and ideas start springing up. Some ideas fade quickly, others show signs of promise. Exercising creativity and imagination is critical to the work we do, says Alaina Love in our HR Leaders story today. “We solve problems from a different mindset when we make space for imagination. It jump-starts a powerful cascade of events, with imagination triggering an inspiration and that inspiration leading to a new creative outcome.
