Victoria has announced a 'donut day', meaning zero local cases of COVID-19, zero cases acquired interstate and zero cases in hotel quarantine. The border between Victoria and South Australia remains closed, with returning South Australians required to self-quarantine for 14 days and get three coronavirus tests. Adelaide-based Monica Sharma is in a transnational marriage. She and her husband Vikas have homes in Australia and India, and before COVID hit would travel regularly between the two countries. But Vikas has been stuck abroad since November 2019, when he flew to India to look after his sick mother.
