| | Details on Minnesota tax relief to become clearer next week | Minnesota lawmakers are set to break for an Easter and Passover recess this week. When they come back, they’ll unveil details of tax proposals that will detail how they’d like to send money back to Minnesota taxpayers. Debates around tax relief, recreational cannabis, paid family and medical leave — as well as the bulk of a $72 billion budget proposal — are ahead. And details about what will make it through the DFL-controlled Capitol this year will become clearer in the next couple weeks.

| | Cleanup continues around Minnesota after snowstorm | Cleanup continued throughout Minnesota on Sunday after an April Fools’ Day snowstorm damaged trees, caused power outages, and made travel difficult across the region. The National Weather Service reported 8.5 inches of snow at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. That pushes the season snow total to 89.7 inches — the third-greatest on record for the Twin Cities. As of Sunday afternoon, Xcel Energy reported nearly 7,600 customers were still impacted by outages, mostly in the Twin Cities region.
