New initiatives coming up
During the next six months DOLL Living Lab will focus on introduction of new solutions, upgrades of existing installations and new areas of project development in the lab. This includes for example integration of energy data from lighting on a joint platform at the Technical University of Denmark and waste collection based on dynamic route planning based on data from 500 sensors placed in waste containers in the entire Municipality of Albertslund. DOLL will also work more thoroughly with motion sensor solutions in combination with other technologies in the Living Lab, like autonomous busses, dynamic signaling and intelligent lighting systems. This will happen in collaboration with the EU Horizon 2020 project LINC and the Interreg Baltic project LUCIA, both run by Gate 21. New partners in DOLL Living Lab The first six months in DOLL Living Lab we have welcomed seven new partners, Tridonic, WE-EF, Novalume, Neev Energy, Smartnodes, Ligman and NB SmartCities. Visitors in DOLL Living Lab Almost 40 organisations have visited DOLL Living Lab during the first six months - 27 of them are cities from Europe and Asia.
Motion sensors: part of the city of the future
When it comes to smart and highly energy efficient lighting there’s no way around motion sensors. The possibilities for the technology are plenty but the market still see some hesitation in the municipalities. Read more
Join the Nordic region's largest Smart City Event
DOLL Living Lab invites you to join the Nordic region's largest Smart City event, Nordic Edge Expo. Together with Gate 21 and Smart CIty Cluster Denmark we invite you to join a Danish delegation to Nordic Edge Expo. You will meet Nordic colleagues with the same ambitions, goals and concrete activities and be inspired by new Nordic solutions. Join Smart City Cluster Denmark
Smart City Cluster Denmark is a new Danish initiative that creates an overall framework for the many companies, research environments, cities and projects in Denmark that work with the digitization of cities and local communities.
We run a large number of activities that deliver knowledge from leading knowledge institutions to Danish companies. We are working to bring businesses and municipalities – supply and demand – closer to each other while, at the same time, helping the municipalities to bring the Danish Smart City market to maturity. Together with a broad range of skilled actors, the goal is to create a more coordinated framework for Smart City work in Denmark. Join us - it's free!
